Doug Foster Exhibits In Group Show Curated By James Lavelle

Until 23 February 2017, Doug Foster joins a group of artists and musicians including Nathan Coley, John Isaacs and 3D from Massive Attack in an exhibition at Lazarides Gallery in Central London.

The exhibition is titled Daydreaming with UNKLE Presents...THE ROAD: SOHO and is curated by James Lavelle of UK musical group UNKLE. THE ROAD: SOHO is the latest iteration of Lavelle’s Daydreaming with… series, which since 2010 has paired visual artists and musicians to create innovative partnerships which synthesise sound and image.

The show is Lazarides’ first in 2017 and celebrates the gallery’s 25th anniversary with an exciting programme of screenings, talks and club nights. Visitors will experience UNKLE’s latest album THE ROAD paired with visuals and a fragrance composition, titled Build and Destroy, by Azzi Glasser which is installed at the gallery entrance.

Doug Foster presents four visuals to accompany tracks from UNKLE. The works are presented as a large scale projection in a room with a mirrored floor. Projected onto a three metre arched screen and reflected back from the floor, the visuals generate immersive complex patterns as a response to the sonic landscapes created by Lavelle.
