David Abellà (b. 1972) is a visual artist based in Lleida, Spain. He is Bachelor in Fine Arts by the University of Barcelona (1997) and continued his studies in England through participating in an Erasmus scholarship at the Exeter Art College, University of Plymouth. There, he attended several workshops and developed an interest in photography. After that, he goes to the Chichester College of Arts, Science and Technology and attends a Computer Art & Design course.
Since 2004 he has travelled to various Asian countries and is fascinated by their religious buildings, mythology and history and has done research on this particular field.
In 2010, he started working on photomanipulation, taking architecture images and turning them into something rather different.
In 2013, he took a Photography course at the Saint Martins School, London.
He also works in fields such as drawing and video.
