The Room in Which I Found Myself

Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Fall of the House of Usher' This is the second work in a proposed series of 10. The work removes perspective and echoes Chinese scroll paintings and the friezes on Egyptian tombs. Space is flattened to express extreme melancholia. Light is obstructed to mirror the ephemeral nature of existence. Time alone proceeds unhindered.
