Ancient Dolphin by Liao Yibai is Part 2 of the artist's A Solo Exhibition series that is envisioned and meticulously crafted what might resemble ancient dolphins using advanced 3D software. These digitally rendered creatures were then rigged and animated, brought to life in his virtual exhibition. In this surreal realm, the prehistoric dolphins gracefully swim through the air, transcending the boundaries of reality and evoking an atmosphere of idealistic romance. At the heart of the exhibition lies a cubic metre of seawater, reimagined with a Martian essence - ancient Martian seawater, preserved and transported to Earth, now presented as a captivating artefact. This imaginative journey through time and space signals the dawn of a new aesthetic, one uniquely forged within the limitless potential of the virtual realm.
