My impulse in making art is to de-pathologize the negative affects of personal trauma so that they can be seen. By integrating images into a more complex online ‘moving picture” this ‘seeing’ might NOT be a witness of “sorrow of the singular other,” but instead its antithesis—a catalyst to community formation. If we address our own corrosive secrets, maybe others will too and this will lead to prevention of present-future abuse, exploitation and war. I warn you—this can lead to breaking out in song, dance and laughter at the whole catastrophe!
