Sheung Yiu is a self-taught photographer whose photographic interest lies on surrealism and oddness in everyday scenario. His work, despite its simplicity, is detailedly conceived and carefully constructed visual metaphors. Using weirdness as his ‘device’, his temporary photographic sculptures subvert default truths and question their legitimacy. His work is published in various online photo zines such as Lintroller, Oitzarisme, get addicted to..., Fotografia Magazine, Mull It Over, NeochaEDGE and Lenscratch. He was selected Der Greif Guest-Room exhibition and won honourable mention in MIFA photography awards.
