Internationally-based visual artist Maria Golubkova began her career in the Arts in 2012 with a four-year woodcarving apprenticeship at the “Tatyanka” International Woodcarving Center in Moscow. In 2020 she completed a Postgraduate Professional Degree at the Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Design and Applied Arts.
For the majority of her professional career, Maria has honed her artistic skills working in customized woodcarving, many of her pieces commissioned by clients in the USA and UK. Currently, her professional interests are focused around digital art, sculpture technique diversity, experimentation with non-standard mixed- media materials, and the role of ideology in expressive visual art.
Currently Maria lives and works in Muscat, Oman.
