Admiration for the Mandolin Player

Shot with my Android phone camera and heavily processed in Photoshop, "Admiration for the Mandolin Player" is a visual exploration of peeling paint and rust at my local station within the New York City subway system.
The objective in this image was initially to find beauty within dilapidation and decay.
Since this image was shot in 2016, the subway station has been refurbished, and all the rust and peeling paint is gone.
So I can add the inevitability of change to the objective of this series as well.
We only really have this moment.
