CERN Lava Lamp

The Large Hadron Collider at CERN smashes protons at almost the speed of light in an attempt to create particles that are fundamental building blocks of all life in the universe. The muons, bosons, and other particles created die within nano seconds, leaving only the data to not only represent the particles, but also be the only reality of the particles. In other words, after a few nano seconds, the data are the particles.

I use these data to create this video. The data pick colors, shapes, pixel locations in three dimensional space, and camera angles.
