Medium: Digital Painting
SKULLION is based on the recent pandemic and the brutal reality of human mortality that we have all been forced to face. It is inspired by the artist's confinement in quarantine and the anxiety of awaiting covid-19 test results. The digital painting captures the uncertain propect of death, while the bright colours represent the joy of living while still alive. The mood is hopeful rather than morbid and speaks of a live well lived, a future, a hope and the eventuality of being transformed into nothing but bones.
