Elemental and beautiful, Imran Qureshi's Sky Fall is a work that has the artist scanning the heavens for inspiration. The celestial choreography of heavy clouds and blackening sky seem to resemble a dust cloud or the aftermath of an explosion; Qureshi sees something in everything, and looks to borrow the loose cloud formations and grey palette as a possible wash for one of his explosive canvases. Black birds puncture the sky, as miniature details, and the roiling, monochrome, kaleidoscope of movement is given place and identity by the unorchestrated backdrop of sounds from the city of Lahore.
