Seabed is an experimental art piece based on the exploration of camera obscura, or pinhole technique and the pursuit of its potential. A medium so far seen as belonging to the past that is here brought to a contemporary environment, resulting in a series of moving abstractions. This artwork immerses the viewer in a universe built through the animation of photographs that failed due to over or underexposure. A potential medium of expression with a beautifully unpredictable nature.
Seabed is a new artwork by Madalena Silva Carlos released on Sedition as part of Fabrica Frame. Fabrica Frame is a new collection of digital artworks created by artists taking part in the Fabrica Residency at Fabrica, the research centre set up in Treviso, Italy following the vision of Luciano Benetton and Oliviero Toscani.
