Coming from having a fascination for the reptile section of the local museum as a school kid, all things snake skeleton and scaly skin have always been of great interest. The bleached skeletal forms seem to be a high point of natural engineering, at least to the subjective aesthetic of this artist. Also, the hours spent studying the shadows cast by polyurethane foam in the surfboard shaping bay, followed by the application of sterile white fiberglass.
