Visual artist Robin Weijers makes experimental films, installations and site-specific works. He became Master of Science in electrical engineering at the University of Technology in Delft, The Netherlands. As independent filmmaker and visual artist Robin is fascinated by motions and moving images as his art works explores actual moments of change and their meaning to our lives. His intuitive visual language is about human conditions, objects and subjects in motion revealing patterns and narratives. He is most intrigued by in-between transitions. These liminal moments where potential energy flows into the kinetic domain and give birth to life. Thematic in his work are experimental point of views and juxtaposing different motions. He questions ‘being’ by exploring unconscious stories in human lives, nature and physics. Translating matter and thoughts in film and installations is what his poetic works opens up to its audience.
