This series is a result of the artist's exploration of social rules towards women that have a parallel with the rules and methodologies of taxation. She coined the term “Estrogen tax” to describe the compulsory social charges levied on women based on their reproductive eligibility. In the latest iteration of the image of the winged face inspired by a stone carving on the grounds of Versailles, the balance has shifted with the removal of one wing.
