Anselm Skogstad (born 1983 in Starnberg, Germany) is a German-American artist and journalist. He lives in New York and Munich, working internationally. In New York he attended the International Center of Photography and the School of Visual Arts. At the same time he worked for Magnum Photos and renowned artists Christopher Makos and David LaChapelle. In California he studied at the San Francisco Art Institute. He works in series where each visual is part of a whole not titled individually. He does not modify or manipulate his negatives or digital files. This forces him to compose each image immediately. Anselm Skogstad had numerous solo and group exhibitions. He is represented by galleries and curators in New York, Boston, Paris, Zurich and Munich.
