Paul Greene is a mainly self taught artist born in London in 1956, operating between London and the south coast of England, with occasional sojourns in New York and Florence. Greene’s artistic journey began more than 25 years ago with oils and acrylics. He now works mostly digitally, employing a wide range of graphics/3d software. Greene spent many years as a journalist which inflects his work in interesting ways. There’s always an empirical dimension, an observed starting point, sometimes photographic, from which an abstract commentary is built. Greene’s aim is to push into those liminal lands where literal representation appears to be on the point of erasure but still, somehow, remains implicit. www.paulgreene.co.uk
