Quayola & Sinigaglia are the collaborative pairing of Davide Quayola and Natan Sinigaglia; based in London and Milan respectively. Quayola & Sinigaglia make works that are a complex construct of sound augmented with computer generated images, delivered as animation and performance. The works create sequences that act as the dissolving and diluted universes from within which composites of classical music come to life. Inspired in part by the work of Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky, and the equally influential musicality of Swiss artist Paul Klee, (both of the Bauhaus, Germany); Quayola & Sinigaglia’s works lead the viewer into an atmospheric and immersive audiovisual experience. In the last 5 years they have collaborated with several composers, orchestras and musicians including Ensemble Intercontemporain, London Contemporary Orchestra, Nick Ryan, Vanessa Wagner, Hildur Gudnadóttir and Mira Calix; amongst others. Quayola & Sinigaglia have performed and exhibited their audiovisual works at MAC, Paris, 2012; Cite de la Musique, Paris, 2013; USC, Los Angeles, USA, 2013; Centre des Arts Enghien, Paris, 2013; Roundhouse, London, 2014; and most recently at Ars Electronica, Linz, 2014.
