Bio Fiona Beswick is an artist and documentary photographer from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Fiona Beswick is currently in her junior year at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she is pursuing a BFA from the Department of Photography and Imaging. While photography is her primary medium, she is interested in 3D art for its lack of physical limitations, and the ability to create work with a freedom more akin to painting or drawing than photography. She first began studying 3D art in Professor Snow Yunxue Fu’s Multimedia class in 2019, where she learned the basics of animation with maya autodesk. In her most recent 3D animation, Time Step, inspired by the work of Edward Muybridge, she documents historical forms of animation, and the slight imperfections that arise in their functioning, gradually blurring the lines between reality and fiction.
