The Geldingadalir volcano is the first active volcano in the area for 800 years. This video captures the rhythm and the contrasts of this calm and violent force, sharing a breathtaking moment in time.

Isdrake has followed the development and constant changes in this environment for almost two decades, documenting its raw wilderness to show the breathtaking diversity of this planet. The series shares scenes of their process of walking and being present in the various elements of the landscape. Long walks taking place nighttime to avoid human interference and capture moments of thoughtful solitude, rough stillness, cold beauty and sometimes violent movements, demanding the photographers full attention and focus.
