Photographer and videographer Jeff Alves de Lima (b. 1977) seeks out patterns and familiarity in the chaos of the universe. Through manipulating perspective or expanding and compressing time, rhythms can be identified, static noise suppressed, and adjacent realities allowed to emerge. By exposing what is in the periphery of our experiential or temporal view, Jeff is interested in what we can learn about ourselves and about this imaginary universe. His work has shown at PH21 Gallery, Budapest; PhotoPlace Gallery, Middlebury, VT; and Non-Fiction Gallery, Savannah, GA. Jeff is based in New York.
