born 1956 in Essen, Germany works and lives in NYC since 1995 David Stern is a figurative painter, whose work is rooted in the European figurative tradition and informed by American abstract expressionism. His artistic career spans 30 + years and the main theme/motive of his work has been the human condition. With the advance of touch screen technology in 2007, Stern started to adapt the technology for his expressive drawings.
