Sergio Calderon

Spanish artist and filmmaker Sergio Calderón (b. 1978) studied graphic design at SATER Art School and began his career working independently before joining the London based design consultancy Hi-ReS! in 2007. During his time at Hi-ReS!, Calderón worked for internationally renowned clients such as Chanel, Issey Miyake, MTV, the British television channel Channel4, and Fallon; until he co-founded The Unlimited Dream Company - a venture concentrating on the creation of cinematic installation works - together with Céli Lee, in 2012. Calderón’s practice focuses on combining different media in order to create a new language to express the artist’s experience of specific spaces, situations, and memories. Many of his works are conceived in collaboration with musicians, to name Okkyung Lee, Attila Csihar, and Stephen O’Malley as a few. Calderón has exhibited and performed internationally including at the Gazelli Art House London, 2012; Centre Pompidou, Paris, 2012; at Short & Sweet, London, 2010; and during BAC! (Barcelona Arte Contemporanea); Barcelona, in 2004. The artist lives and works in London.
